Dikella Beach

Beach — Dikella village, ~20km west of the city

Dikella is one of the widest and longest beaches in the Evros region, running over three kilometres along the coast in front of the village it's named for, about 20km west of Alexandroupolis. The shore is mostly sand with pebbles and stones in places, so water shoes help.

Its sheer length means it never feels crowded even in peak season — walk a few minutes in either direction from the organized sections near the beach bars and it's easy to find an empty stretch. The water deepens a bit faster than at Agia Paraskevi, so it suits confident swimmers as much as families.

The village itself has a couple of relaxed tavernas back from the beach, making it an easy half-day trip rather than just a drive-by swim stop.
