Beach — Southeast coast
Katarti — the name means "mast" in Greek, after the cliffs that frame it — is about as remote as Samothraki's beaches get, tucked into the southeast coast with no road access at all.
It's reachable either by a boat tour out of Kamariotissa or Therma, by far the easier option, or by a genuinely demanding 2–3 hour hike each way over steep, uneven terrain. There's nothing on-site — no shop, no shade beyond the cliffs themselves — so a boat trip that already includes food and water is the practical choice for most visitors.
