Didymoteicho Ottoman Bath

Historic site — Didymoteicho, ~90km north of the city

Built in 1398–99, Didymoteicho's Ottoman bath predates the nearby Bayezid Mosque by two decades and ranks among the earliest surviving hamams in Greece — a rare, tangible piece of the town's earliest Ottoman-era construction.

It's a quick stop rather than a destination on its own, best folded into a walking loop through the old town that also takes in the fortress and the mosque — together they trace Didymoteicho's transition from Byzantine stronghold to major Ottoman town in a single afternoon.
