Museum — Enou 18, next to the cathedral
Founded in 1976 by Metropolitan Anthimos, the museum is housed in the neoclassical Leontarideios School building from 1909, right beside the cathedral. Eight rooms hold more than 400 ecclesiastical objects — icons, vestments, manuscripts, and liturgical items — gathered from churches and monasteries across the wider region, spanning the 15th to 19th centuries.
It's a niche stop rather than a must-see, but a genuine one for anyone interested in Orthodox religious art and craft beyond what the parish churches themselves display. Open weekday mornings; a small entry fee applies.
