Culture itinerary — City centre
This route runs in roughly chronological order: the Archaeological Museum for the region's deep past, the Ethnological Museum for Thracian traditional life, and the mosque and square for the Ottoman-to-Greek transition that shaped the city as it stands today.
All three museums are compact enough to see properly in under an hour each, so the full loop is a realistic single day even with a lunch break — a good option for a day when the beach isn't the priority, or the weather doesn't cooperate.
